 The importance of quality education resources for all ages is reflected in the Pana community. The Pana Community Unit School District No. 8 includes two elementary schools, a junior high school, and a new senior high school. There are four private schools in the area. There is also the Pana Learning Center, an alternative school for students to earn a GED.
The Pana High School distance learning facility is capable of broadcasting and receiving educational programs. The facility is networked with Lake Land Community College, Eastern Illinois University and several area high schools. High school-credit classes, college under-graduate and graduate classes, and business and professional seminars are offered.
Workforce training is available through the Lake Land College Center for Business and Industry, which provides programs in the classroom or on site.
